One of the benefits of working with a security systems consulting and service provider like Vulcan Security Systems is that we prefer open, non-proprietary technology architecture. That makes it easier to upgrade and grow your system as your business grows and needs change.
Mobotix is our preferred provider of IP video cameras for business security systems, in part because it can be easily integrated with other security technology for real-time monitoring and advanced security analytics systems.
Mobotix, founded in 1999 by Dr. Ralf Hinkel, is a German manufacturer of high-end IP video cameras and related security technology. Mobotix cameras are manufactured in Germany and are built on decentralized technology that reduces IT network demands, while providing the high resolution digital imaging capabilities needed in the 21st century security environment.
Mobotix Cameras Are In Sports Stadiums Around the World
Mobotix IP video cameras and security technology have been used in stadiums throughout Europe, including the Betzenberg, Paris, and Donetsk soccer stadiums. Mobotix technology will be used in the security for the World Cup 2022 stadium in Qatar.
This 2014 case study from Mobotix describes the security camera setup used in the Druzhba Arena in Doneezk, Ukraine. The system was installed as part of a 2011 arena renovation and included 74 cameras in the original setup and uses a variety of different camera models, each with different surveillance capabilities. Cameras were installed in the entrance areas, the grandstands, and in the parking area.
Although the technology is far more advanced today, this graphical illustration of the video security set-up for the 2007 World Cup provides a helpful diagram to explain how the various surveillance technologies can be integrated, even when the technology in use spans several generations.
